Pekin Wet Mill – Illinois
Located on the east bank of the Illinois River, Pekin has produced ethanol and many of its co-products since 1981. Pekin has two distinct facilities: a "dry mill" which is similar to the other Pacific Ethanol Plants, and a "wet mill." Both Pekin plants produce ethanol and distillers grains and corn oil. The wet mill produces a number of additional valuable co-products, including corn germ, corn meal, CO2, and yeast.
